Greetings visitors, ex-PropellerAds publisher here. We published for PA for a week and they are a ripoff fraud.
Cyprus is a renown Tax haven with lax laws and regulations, and PA is based there for a reason. Their pay system appears to be specifically crafted for stealing new publishers with an unusually high minimum payout of $100, and stealing old publishers with an unusually long wait before cashing out. They pay for your month’s earnings after a month of waiting, for example your earnings for period 1st – 31st August should be paid during the first business week of October (but it won’t).
Propeller Ads uses another way to scam publishers, their anti-adblock code. We actually tested it and it does work, breaking through most adblockers. The catch? Its CPM was only $0.01 – $0.03. But you wouldn’t notice that if you’re looking at aggregate statistics. You must specify the adblocked code zone to see you’re getting virtually nothing for your adblocking traffic.
PA’s popunders are also unlimited by default, meaning they will drive your users crazy with one pop every click unless you contact support and ask them to limit it, unlike other professional agencies which offer that in the options.
What happened to us was we started earning really well and our balance reached about $50. Then they cut us off without even telling us, meaning we were still serving their codes even after they disabled our account and stole our money. So my advice to everyone currently publishing for PA or considering to do that is RUN.
